Bengaluru startup aims to finalise India's first private fusion reactor design by 2027
Bengaluru-based Pranos Fusion has built PRAGYA, a small doughnut-shaped tokamak, to test plasma control and superconducting magnets. It is a stepping stone to PRANIK, a much larger tokamak that would heat plasma to millions of degrees to fuse hydrogen atoms. The company expects to finalise PRANIK's blueprint by 2027, which would be India's first privately built tokamak design.
