BBC 6 Music Festival 2027 moves to Newcastle

BBC Radio 6 Music's annual festival will be held in Newcastle in March 2027, with five days of performances and DJ sets across the city's independent and grassroots venues. It follows four years in Greater Manchester. Tyneside last hosted the festival in 2015. Newcastle recently hosted the Mercury Prize for a second straight year, and presenter Lauren Laverne welcomed the return to the North East.
