Chennai hospital treats rare aortic valve leak with keyhole procedure

Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet, Chennai, has treated a 63-year-old man with a severely leaking aortic valve using transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aided by HANCHOR technology. The patient had a hole in one valve leaflet and had earlier undergone mitral valve replacement. In aortic regurgitation, the valve fails to close properly, letting blood flow back into the heart.
