Keralam CM and Opposition leader unite against festive airfare hikes

Keralam Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan and Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan both condemned airlines in the Assembly for steep festive-season fare hikes, especially on Keralam-West Asia routes. Satheesan said his government has again written to the Centre after a stakeholders' meeting, adding that successive state governments have sought a fare cap. The Opposition later staged a walkout over NRK benefits.
