Calcutta HC's Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty recommended as Telangana HC Chief Justice

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended elevating Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty of the Calcutta High Court as Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. At the same meeting, it also recommended Telangana HC Acting Chief Justice P. Sam Koshy as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court. Justice Chakraborty practised law for 22 years before becoming a judge in 2013.
