IIT Kharagpur to set up India's first Physical AI school with ₹35 crore

IIT Kharagpur will establish India's first dedicated school of Physical AI with a ₹35 crore investment. The Benjamin Gupta School of Physical AI, named after alumnus Vinod Gupta's late son, gets ₹12.5 crore from the Gupta family and ₹10 crore from an anonymous alumnus. It will work on robotics, digital twins, autonomous systems and physics-informed machine learning.
