Round-the-world cruise halts in Cambodia as fuel costs soar

The Villa Vie Odyssey, more than 750 days into a planned 3.5-year world voyage, has suspended operations in Cambodia over soaring fuel costs, leaving passengers stranded. Its US-based operator said the monthly fuel cost per cabin in parts of Asia has jumped to $8,000 from $1,800. It will spend 60 days on restructuring, though it warned that 'no outcome is assured'.
