Wabtec wins $94 million order for Vande Bharat sleeper trains

US-based Wabtec has secured orders worth $94 million (about ₹839 crore) from Indian Railways to supply braking systems, doors and gangways for the Vande Bharat sleeper programme. Deliveries to the Integral Coach Factory, which will build 50 trainsets of 24 coaches each, will run over two financial years. India accounts for nearly 10% of Wabtec's global transit revenue.
