Zverev clinches world number one, replacing Sinner

Alexander Zverev will replace Jannik Sinner as men's world number one on Monday after beating Tallon Griekspoor 6-4, 7-5 to reach the Vienna quarter-finals. The 29-year-old, already sure to finish 2026 top of the ATP rankings, is only the second German to reach number one after Boris Becker. He won two Grand Slams this year, the French and US Opens.
