NTPC's Q2 profit rises 14% to ₹5,320 crore

State-run power producer NTPC reported a 14.3% year-on-year rise in standalone net profit to ₹5,320 crore for the September quarter, helped by higher generation and better efficiency as weak monsoon rains lifted power demand. Commercial generation grew 11.1% to 92.413 billion units, while plant load factor improved to 73.53% from 66.01% a year earlier.
