Zubeen Garg's family meets Assam Governor, seeks speedy trial

Late singer Zubeen Garg's wife Garima Saikia Garg and sister Palme Borthakur met Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Lok Bhavan, submitting a memorandum seeking effective prosecution, opposition to bail and a speedy trial. Garg died while swimming in the sea in Singapore on September 19, 2025. The family was distressed after the Gauhati High Court granted bail to two accused.
