McLaren confirms its next supercar will be called McL 820

McLaren has confirmed McL 820 as the name of its next supercar, due in 2027 to replace the 750S. The name first appeared on a giant kiwi statue in London's Covent Garden. Since McLaren names track metric horsepower, the figure points to roughly 809 bhp, well above the 740 hp 750S. The McL prefix debuted on the McL 6GT.
