Auto retail sales drop 24% in October

Automobile retail sales in India fell 24 per cent in October, mainly because of the extraordinary high base from a year earlier. Measured against that strong comparison, both the two-wheeler and passenger vehicle segments recorded declines, underlining how last year's festive-season figures have made the latest numbers look weak.
