Radico Khaitan sets up Scotland unit to secure malt whisky supply

Indian spirits maker Radico Khaitan has incorporated Radico Khaitan Scotland Ltd to explore whisky distillation, maturation and trading. Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan said the move aims to meet the company's growing need for mature malt spirit, though no distillery acquisition is being pursued now. Recent disruptions in the West Asia-Gulf corridor highlighted the risk of depending on single markets.
