Zeekr says it is committed to Europe despite curbs on Chinese cars

Zeekr Europe CEO Lothar Schupet says the Chinese EV brand remains committed to Europe despite tariffs and a new EU-China deal capping Chinese hybrid and plug-in hybrid imports at 350,000 units a year. Speaking as Zeekr launches its 900-hp 9X plug-in hybrid, he argued the restrictions reflect rivals' fears of Chinese carmakers' success.
