Chhattisgarh women save ₹1,000 monthly aid for daughters' education

Some beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh's Mahtari Vandan Yojana are depositing part or all of their ₹1,000 monthly assistance into Sukanya Samriddhi accounts to fund their daughters' education. Women from Dantewada, Raipur, Surajpur and Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai districts said the regular payments help them build savings while still meeting household and school expenses.
