NHS consultants in England to strike for two days in November

Senior hospital doctors in England will strike on November 25 and 26, providing only emergency cover, the British Medical Association said. Consultants want action on a 25% real-terms fall in pay since 2009-10 and a 10% cut in working hours. The BMA called the government's 2.4% pay offer for next year the last straw after 18 months of talks.
