EC extends SIR deadlines in five states and Delhi; new final roll dates set

The Election Commission has extended the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Haryana, Telangana, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Delhi. Final voter lists for the five states will now be published on November 30, and Delhi's on December 22. Claims-and-objections deadlines have also been extended, and officials have been told to inform political parties in writing.
