Harry Kane beat Kylian Mbappe by just 28 points in Ballon d'Or vote

Official figures show Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or with 1,055 points from 100 journalist voters, just 28 ahead of Kylian Mbappe on 1,027. Kane topped 40 ballots to Mbappe's 23. The Bayern Munich striker, the first Englishman to win since Michael Owen in 2001, scored 73 goals in 2025-26 as Bayern won a domestic Treble.
