Eetha is not a tribute to Vithabai, says director Laxman Utekar

At the trailer launch of Shraddha Kapoor's Eetha at Mumbai's Plaza Cinema, director Laxman Utekar clarified that the film does not honour Lavani legend Vithabai but draws on a few incidents from a book about her life. Shraddha said the demanding role took a physical toll during the shoot, while producer Dinesh Vijan predicted the film would mark a turning point in her career.
