Volkswagen to take China-developed car tech global

Volkswagen plans to use its China Electronic Architecture, built with Xpeng, in next-generation models for South America and South Africa, breaking from its 'in China, for China' approach. Reuters reports VW is also studying it for future mass-market VW, Skoda and Cupra cars in Europe. The broader VEGA package bundles China-developed platforms, software and driver-assistance systems.
