South Central Railway gives GPS trackers to 1,800 patrolmen
South Central Railway has issued 1,800 GPS tracker devices to patrolmen and trackmen across its Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Nanded divisions to boost train safety. These workers walk three to six kilometres per patrol checking rails, bridges and fittings for defects. Each SIM-fitted tracker is mapped to an individual, letting supervisors monitor patrol movements in real time.
