CBSE 2028 Class 10 exams: five core subjects plus optional skill paper

CBSE has clarified that students taking Class 10 boards in 2028 will study five compulsory subjects, with an optional skill paper that can help them pass even if they fail maths, science or social science. Students must pick 'Kaushal Vikas' or one of 22 notified skill subjects. The rule covers students entering Class 9 in 2026-27, not the current Class 10 batch.
