Thai activist who questioned monarchy dressed as Harry Potter jailed again

A Bangkok court on Friday sentenced 42-year-old human rights lawyer Arnon Nampa to two years and eight months under Thailand's lèse majesté law, adding to sentences that now total 34 years. He had called for the monarchy to be held accountable while dressed as Harry Potter at a 2020 protest. Thailand has prosecuted 294 people under the law since 2020.
