Ford's $28,000 Fathom EV pickup gets a built-in home backup inverter

Ford says its upcoming Fathom electric pickup, priced around $28,000, will carry an onboard inverter supplying over 10kW of AC power to run appliances, back up a home during outages or feed the grid. Unlike the discontinued F-150 Lightning, it won't need a costly external inverter, though owners will still need Ford's Home Power Station, which Ford aims to make cheaper.
