India lacks fresh anaemia data after NFHS-6 drops estimates
For the first time since the late 1990s, India's national health survey has no anaemia estimate, as NFHS-6 fact sheets omitted the section and readings were moved to the SAMPADA survey, whose data is yet to be released. NFHS-5 showed 71.4% of women aged 15-49 in West Bengal were anaemic, the highest among major states, compared with 39% of men.
