NASA unveils X-70 Fractal as its next experimental X-plane

NASA has announced the X-70 Fractal, the newest addition to its series of experimental X-planes, a lineage that includes the Bell X-1, which first broke the sound barrier, and the recent X-59 quiet supersonic demonstrator. The agency describes the X-70 as a high-performance, highly adaptable research platform, and it is expected to take flight within the next two years.
