Renoa, first new fibre class in 25 years, aims to rival cashmere
Startup Everbloom's renoa has been approved by the US Federal Trade Commission as the first new fibre classification in 25 years. Made from waste proteins such as cashmere and wool scraps and feather lint blended with a biodegradable biopolymer, it is washable and promises to be cheaper than cashmere. The first products, likely 20% renoa blends, are expected in 2027's second quarter.
