England to charge universities £925 per international student from 2028
Universities in England will pay an annual £925 levy, about $1,200, for each international student above a threshold of 220 enrolments per institution from August 2028. The charge is projected to raise £445 million in its first year. Though universities will pay it, overseas applicants, including Indian students, could face higher tuition fees as a result.
