Madras HC bars 'Sangethas' eatery name, citing hungry customers
The Madras High Court has restrained a restaurant opposite Thanjavur's Brihadeeswarar Temple from using the name 'Hotel Sangethas Pure Veg Restaurant' in a trademark suit by Sangeetha Caterers and Consultants LLP. Justice P.B. Balaji, quoting poet Avvaiyar, said hungry diners would not notice the missing 'e', and noted the name was still written as Sangeetha in Tamil.
