Govt extends RELIEF export scheme till March 2027 amid West Asia crisis

The Commerce Ministry has extended the RELIEF scheme for exporters shipping to West Asia until March 31, 2027, citing continued geopolitical disruption to Gulf maritime logistics. Under the scheme, ECGC offers enhanced cover of up to 100% of losses from war-related risks and freezes premiums at pre-disruption levels for 10 countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
