UK to release more Mandelson ambassador papers before Christmas

Britain’s Cabinet Office plans to publish another batch of documents on Lord Mandelson’s appointment as US ambassador, likely before Christmas. Earlier papers came out in March and June, while others stayed withheld during a Metropolitan Police probe. Permanent secretary Cat Little said some files can now be released without harming that inquiry, though the Met still wants certain material held back.
