Volkswagen EV battery recall widens to 85,000 cars, now includes Audi

Volkswagen Group's EV battery recall now covers 85,402 vehicles worldwide after adding 12,734 Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models. Earlier recalls covered ID.3, ID.4, ID.7, ID. Buzz and Cupra Born models built between 2022 and 2025. As with the ID.4, affected owners are being told to limit charging to 80% of battery capacity.
