Readwise launches Readwise Books to challenge Kindle and Kobo

Readwise, known for tools that store Kindle highlights and save articles for later, is launching Readwise Books, a full platform for buying, reading and discussing ebooks. Now in invite-only beta, the app tracks how long, how much and how fast you read and shares it with friends. Its cofounders describe it as a 'Strava for reading' with a social feed of recommendations.
