Storms Boelo and Austen kill one, leave 150,000 European homes without power

Two storms, Boelo and Austen, swept across northern Europe within 24 hours, killing a 60-year-old man hit by a falling tree in southwestern Scotland. More than 150,000 homes lost electricity on Sunday: over 82,000 in the UK, nearly 60,000 in France and at least 10,000 in Germany. Flights and phone networks were disrupted, with winds reaching 135 km/h.
