Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler weighs legal action against AI firms

Axel Scheffler, illustrator of the children's classic The Gruffalo, says he is 'seriously considering' legal action against AI companies he believes breach copyright by reproducing his work in AI-generated images. The artist says he has been in touch with a lawyer in Germany about the issue. The book, written by Julia Donaldson, appeared in 1999.
