Sealed Pompeii wardrobe reveals perfume bottle and child's charm necklace
Archaeologists in Pompeii have found a wooden wardrobe sealed since Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD79, in a home on the busy Via dell'Abbondanza. Inside were tweezers, a glass perfume bottle, an incense burner, a bronze lantern and coins. The standout find is a crepundia, a child's necklace with over 20 charms depicting deities including Bes and Mercury.
