Starry Night's sky dated, cold boosts lifespan, building clusters cool cities
Researchers using astronomical simulations, weather data and letters found Van Gogh's The Starry Night closely matches the dawn sky around July 22, 1889. Another study shows moderately cold temperatures extend lifespan in C. elegans worms via conversion of BH2 to BH4. A third, across 101 cities, found every 100-m increase in clusters of similar buildings cuts urban heat island intensity by 4.5%.
