Gadkari warns highway contractors: every pothole will be recorded

Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari warned contractors and consultants that poor-quality highway work will invite blacklisting, bans and penalties that could hurt their share prices. Speaking at a CII event, he urged people to flag road problems on social media and said close monitoring had cut such issues by 30%. He also said cars doing 120 kmph on expressways should not get challans.
