ED finds drug cartels paying Myanmar suppliers with fuel and food
The Enforcement Directorate says drug syndicates on India's side of the border pay Myanmar-based suppliers in kind, buying petrol, diesel, flour, edible oil, medicines and clothing and sending them across, so money never crosses the border. The finding emerged from 'Operation Trident' raids at 38 locations in Assam, Mizoram and Manipur, which froze 1,424 bank accounts.
