Meta tests Waddle World, an AI-powered virtual pet app

Meta has launched Waddle World, an AI virtual pet app resembling a Tamagotchi, in the Philippines on iOS and Android. Users hatch a pixel pet in a cosy 16-bit world, feed it and play with it as it gets to know them. Meta says the app is not a chatbot, has no streaks or scores, and is rated for users over 18.
