Utah files criminal charges against Kalshi and its top executives

Utah has filed 14 criminal charges against prediction market Kalshi, CEO Tarek Mansour and COO Luana Lopes Lara, including 12 counts of illegally promoting online gambling. The state had already sued Kalshi, joining others such as New York and Nevada. Kalshi called the charges a 'crazy overreach', while the CFTC argues it has exclusive jurisdiction over such platforms.
