Pompeii wardrobe sealed for 2,000 years reveals perfume and child's necklace
Archaeologists in Pompeii have found a wooden wardrobe sealed since Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD79, inside a home on the busy Via dell'Abbondanza. It held tweezers, a glass perfume bottle, an incense burner, a bronze lantern, 38 bronze coins and cooking pots. The standout find is a child's crepundia necklace with over 20 charms depicting gods including Bes and Mercury.
