Murder accused almost escaped trial with AI-faked photos of his own funeral

Rajkumar Rajbhar, who was on trial for a 2016 murder, nearly escaped justice after a death certificate was issued in his name. The certificate followed the submission of documents and photos that appeared to show him lying on a funeral pyre. In reality, a dead goat had been placed on the pyre, with his face digitally superimposed on it.
