Hyderabad's 108 ambulance staff trained in first aid for eye injuries

LV Prasad Eye Institute, EMRI Green Health Services and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital have trained emergency medical technicians on 108 ambulances to give first aid for eye trauma before referring patients to specialist hospitals. Ambulances have also received eye trauma kits. The initiative, starting in Hyderabad, comes ahead of Diwali, when eye injury cases peak.
