JD(U) seeks Anant Singh's disqualification; Speaker's office assures quick action

Two days after expelling Mokama MLA Anant Singh for anti-party activities, JD(U) Bihar president Umesh Kushwaha visited the Assembly Speaker's office to press for his disqualification and was assured of 'quick action'. The NDA government also removed Singh's wife, former MLA Neelam Devi, from the 20-point programme committee and asked her to vacate her Patna bungalow by November 25.
