Kerala orders 2,159 bottles of SMA drug Risdiplam for children

Kerala has issued orders to procure 2,159 bottles of Risdiplam, the first at-home oral treatment for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), to ensure continued supply, Health Minister K. Muraleedharan told the Assembly. Replying to MLA P.K. Firos, he said the state is providing timely treatment and life-saving medicines to children with SMA through its KARE (Kerala United Against Rare Diseases) scheme.
