James McClean leaves Derry City after contract dispute

Republic of Ireland veteran James McClean has left Derry City after he and the club mutually agreed to end his contract with immediate effect. The 37-year-old returned to his hometown club from Wrexham in January but had not been in a matchday squad since July. McClean, who won 103 caps, said Derry will always hold a special place in his heart.
