New group registers as RSS's foreign agent with US Justice Department

A new organisation, RSS Friends, registered with the US Department of Justice on August 27 as a foreign agent representing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, despite the RSS earlier saying it does not lobby in the US. Its FARA filing lists the RSS as its foreign principal and says its work will be mainly informational, with no written contract with the RSS.
