Tamil Nadu to seek review of SC verdict on quota for converted Muslims

Tamil Nadu will file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict that upheld the Madras High Court's quashing of a 2024 government order on reservations for converted Muslims, minister CTR Nirmal Kumar said. On October 15, the top court ruled that a backward Hindu loses community status and reservation benefits after converting to Islam or Christianity.
